Take care of things ahead of time. Duh, you say. I say that because we miss pain-free ways to get ourselves ahead. And Procrastinators benefit from every little bit of getting themselves ahead.
Here are just a few ideas to help you get started:
- let people know your plans so they won't feel surprised
- buy an extra toothbrush the next time you have to restock
- lay your clothes out for the next day the night before to create a stress-free morning
- drink water and stretch before any strenuous activity
- note the type of ink cartridge you have on your phone so you don't have to guess anymore (you could enter it under “Ink” in your Contacts List)
- carry extra cash for unexpected expenditures
- make appointments ahead of time (essentially, as soon as you think of them) because it's easier to change them than to cram one in at the last minute
You get the idea. In taking a few extra steps for the little things, we end up making a lot more room for the bigger things.
I'm about to enter “HP60” under “Ink” in my Contacts List to take my own advice. Heehee. Feel smarter already. What can you do today to reduce your stress tomorrow?
My dad orders ink cartridges either online or via phone when he’s sitting at his desk, but he hated having to take his printer apart to read the label on the cartridge.
So he wrote the part # of the cartridge on the outside of the printer in black Sharpie.
Whatever makes your process work better, right? 🙂
Ah, the beloved thick-point black Sharpie. I’m thinking of posting about oldie-but-goodie tools like the Sharpie soon… I heartily agree with you that creativity always counts!
